The Hsunchen are shape-shifters. In Dragon Pass, the most prominent (basically the only) Hsunchen people are the Telmori wolf-folk (I'm not sure if they show up in KoDP). They are sometimes called were-wolves, though they are not quite the same as the werewolf legends of the Real World.
