Hmm. I notice that the URL we were kindly given (thanks!) was http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/

note the "us" on the end.

When I try the /uk/ equivalent, it's completely different, and comtains no "marketing preferences" link. Nor does my account information page contain any such link. But when I went direct to the /us/ page: lots of things were set to "yes"! (In fact, one of them still is: info about how to build websites may well be of use to me).
