The game does not use dynamic memory addresses for the values used
in the trainers (except for noble's ages but I defeated it with
softice). I know this because with dynamic memory the adresses
change every time you start a new game, run the game, and sometimes
with everytime you load a savegame. The trainer works EVERY time,
with EVERY setting, every option on my system so it must be
something thats system specific. So let me ask you:
- Are you using windows XP? I wrote the trainer and run the game
using XP. That might be a factor. If NOT then:
2.Using XP are you using any Windows options to run the game? What I
mean is right click your KoDP.exe file, choose "properties" then
click the "Compatibility" tab. Are ANY of the boxes checked (either
compatability or Display settings)? I noticed that if I checked the
little box under display settings (which only affects the KoPD
executable)my trainer would no longer work. Apparently windows
changes the memory adresses if any of that stuff is checked. PLEASE
don't tell me you are running windows 98/ME. If so you are missing
out on how wonderful XP is :P Make sure NONE of those boxes are
checked. You will have to just manually changed your desktop
resolution if you want 640x480 with the game.
When the trainer is NOT working all the boxes will have "0" in them.
When it IS working all the vaules for the various resources
are "read" into the boxes. In other words the trainer displays all
your ingame resources in the little boxes. If they are all zero the
trainer is not reading the right adresses for you.
Let me know if that worked for you.
