I'm also somewhat ambivalent about achievements, but if they are done with enough sense of fun I like them more. The game may not track such things, but I'd probably enjoy achievements like:
- Give away a thousand cows over the course of a game (picked that number kind of randomly...some number a fair bit bigger than you'd normally give away).
- Ended five feuds
- Have no 'negative' relationships .... or no positive ones
- Resurrect someone twice
- Perform all of the heroquests within a decade (or to be more strict, nine years....a one a year pace)
- Survive X (25?) years without belonging to a tribe.
- I also liked all the 'survive this disastrous event' ideas.
