Heroquest tuning

I've been thinking of was to make heroquests a bit more approachable in the iOS version. One of the things that makes the game hard is that you actually have to know the myths. Of course, you can make notes, but switching to the Notes app is a pain, and you don't know what to notate in advance.

The heroquest UI was never intended to have access to the myths from within the game -- we intentionally wanted to give the idea that the heroquester was basically on his own.

One answer is to put the myths online. But that doesn't work if you're playing on an iPod touch with no Net access.

So I'm thinking about implementing a hint system. The idea is that for most myths, you'd get one hint. For myths where you knew the secret version, you'd get two. Then at a decision point, you could use a hint, and you'd see the "best" choice.

This doesn't make the Elmal quest easy -- your quester still has to survive -- but it may make life a bit simpler for the player. (I do plan on making that quest a little less brutal, but that's a different issue.)
