yes , at least 20-25 ships (I suggested that a couple of hundred knights were necessary to impress the westerners).
The wood comes from moon boats freight or from gathering in the high valleys of the zola fel or from canny exchanges with the heortlanders factions that wouldn't mind trading with the Etyries merchants. I don't think that Lunars needed to conquer all of heortland. The Country was ripe for conquest since itwas divided and they had many spies/supporting factions and tribes (maybe not among the volsaxi) in the years previous to 1619 already.
The lack of a strategical command in heortland prevented Rikard or other leaders to grasp what the lunar were aiming at in late 1618.
So they were taken completely by surprise but the attck on Karse was a show off:
see, westerners? we are the mighty lunar empire. We bring men-at-arms and knights and mages out of the sea from depressed Corflu and debark in your port to bring death or stability.
Make your choice, wise lords...

Aside: The lunars, They *have* naval skills in the north and mighty riverine fleets. Not such to match Loskalm or Seshnela but enough to impress Karse.
