We need to bring cattle into it.

Now **THAT** I could fight for!

Just a small herd. Usually resident on the plain of course, dragged into the city and given the very best accomodation (as is only fitting) when the Lunars first approached.

The king's herd, probably. Some of the bulls have very good ancestry. Maybe even magic.

They're a pain to feed, a pain to keep, and the dedicated herdsfolk draw swords to stop hungry heroes organising impromptu barbarques. *Especially* when food gets tight.
