I was just about to pull up some BAtStats and go through them, and thought I'd check my mail first. I'm glad I did. Great minds, and so on.

The first thing I noticed was that it's been toned down. It doesn't have that automatic Fear effect any more. Nor does it eat people's divine spells/Feats.

Simplifies working out dates, anyway.

Yes, this is bad. I considered the requirements to make all essential personnel immune, and gave up rather fast. This has to be neutralised at source.

And that will make it rather hard to do so!

So magic that affects, say, the air around the Bat, making it incapable of carrying sound..?

Wasn't someone in Nochet actually experimenting with this? Something to do with trollball, sylphs, and upsetting Darksense/sonar?

I like the HQ options, but don't have anything to add to them at present.
