Reminiscences of Paulis Longvale has the Bat travelling to Dragon Pass from somewhere in the vicinity of Bilini. That's almost certainly not the trip to Whitewall as it occurs during Hahlgrim's war which is after 1622. But it demonstrates that the Bat travels physically.
