When I first read Steve's description of the Blooded Hag (very nice!) I thought of the battle of the Earth Powers in the final days of the siege.

Perhaps removing the sword will wake up the Hag. So who is she, and why is she dangerous? And if she's dangerous, why might she defend the city? Or does she just go for the nearest earth power, and so needs to be unleashed when the Lunar Earth is upon her?

Anyone have an idea for a suitable myth?
