Formica Phalanx? ;-) Yes, they swim around in my mind readily enough as well, I must admit. For my money there's only two major variables though, their home city, and whether or not they've been 'refounded'. (IMG there are also a couple of remaining regiments of a genuinely(ish) Pelandan tradition, and they'd look significantly different again, but I dunno that they correspond to anything on the official order of battle.) The rest is essentially just 'colour'.
