Wandering around Lincoln cathedral the other day, I was struck by
the similarity of some of their *interior* doors to what we were
discussing. Heavy oak, metal reinforcement, pretty squiggly bits. So
I've dropped a photo in the Photos area of the group.
Obviously we'd want to scale up, but I can now see how you get Runes
on the wood.
