Seriously John, while this is a great idea and I'm sure we could do it, one problem I've got is that I was working on the "official" version, I know roughly what was going to happen in it, and there were some great ideas there. Anything I produced would be influenced by that - and I'm not sure if any NDA still applies now it's been abandoned. I can't imagine why it should (or why it did in the first place!) but people sulking and taking their marbles away after throwing them out of the pram were at least part of the reason it got abandoned, so common sense probably won't come into it.
