That's best fixed by sample units. I've got half a dozen I can make available easily and write any others people want. The number should be limited to encourage GMs to write their own.
Contents - General description, style of fighting, NPCs for superiors, subordinates and specialists (healers, preceptors etc). Anything else? Illustrations would be good but I'm not an artist though I can suggest ideas to follow.

That's going to depend on the unit and its background. But basically each unit will have its own priests, preceptors, spirit-talkers etc.
