Ah... right, that's a bit different, then.

> Believe it or not, I hadn't even heard of the book before I showed up at Tentacles. The exact same situation happened with the Durengard Scrolls.

And so is that. Reaching Moon to the rescue - that's more promising. Only it means drawing a distinction between new publisher and old publisher that gets very difficult when they appear to be roughly the same group of people.

> You are now bringing this all up in relation to Moon Design's scheduled publication of a Whitewall book now.

Yes - because it has the name "Jeff Richard" associated with it.

Good stuff.

> I also resent your use of the word "commoner". That implies Moon Design is treating some people as the elite and others as lesser people.
> I have made no such distinction ever.

No, but whoever it was who produced high-priced limited editions and sod the rest of us most certainly did. That was right in line with the GTA idea of buying information: one rule for the very rich, one for the rest of us. And the initial idea that HQ2 would only be available at Tentacles to people who had already booked to attend Tentacles (which I see was corrected): wasn't the phrase used something like "this isn't a democracy"?  Sadly, being in range, you're getting tarred with the same brush. I'll try to aim a little more carefully in future, but if you could move off from in front of the target, it would help.

> Jeff said he would get the Sartar manuscript done in X number of months and he delivered on time.
It sounds as if a few others had something to do with that? Lots of HQ2 conversions by Ian for instance? Lots of cut&paste from previous publications?

> He has the Pavis manuscript well under way and says he will have it written by September.
"he"?

> After that, he is moving on to Whitewall, which he wants to have written by December.

Without even bothering to mention it to the group most involved in development of WW. Right....

> When I say "he" please note that Jeff is working with Greg, Simon, Ian, and a number of others on these books.

Simon and Ian are good news. A different Ian, of the Thomson variety, would be even better news when it comes to Pavis: he's already got several books-worth of material!
