I am flattered an dhonroed by your desire. I also believe that YGWV because I've not had the time to write down everything that I know, no one is able to read my mind and, of course, I learn things and change my own knowledge and mind all the time.

That being said, I also beleive that the Gloranthans themselves are inconsistant in what they know and believe.

I've been trying to encourage people to take an "inside the world" approach for years with varying degress of success. This allows for ALL the proposals put forth on a subject--Carmanian dualism, for instance-- to be held by people in the world. Factions within the religion have diferent optinions, and express them, try to make the dominant, etc.

During play characters and NPCs can take these points and exspress them, support this or that faction, etc. to prove the Truth. With varying degrees of success, of course.

In the Carmanian history as expressed in online sources, I think that the various changes in the Carmanian religion can be seen as Darkness moves closer and farther away from the "official policy" of the functioning church. If you read The Fortunate Succession you will see that the supposedly inflexible Dara Happan Solar religion has undergone several such variances over its history.

Your proposal for the Blade School in Carmania is a great bit of fun. It's precisely the kind of thing that the game needs to be fun. Inflexible, dogmatic Truths *within the game context* are for hierarchies to try to impose and for PCs to support, defy or explore.

So I wholeheartedly support the Blade School! And, as you play your game, you can reveal whatever other Schools of Thought are going to add to the MGF.

Sincerely,
Greg Stafford
