I don't think this is likely. Nandan is the gateway to female roles just as Vinga is the gateway to male ones. If a Nandani feels a need to adopt a male role they will switch to the appropriate subcult of Orlanth. In the example you give I would expect the Nandani to get their male relatives or even Vingans to fight for him. Given cultural expectations I think only those men particularly inclined to follow Ernalda's ways choose Nandan.
For male Vingans I'd go to Esrolia where Vinga is the officers' god. I can imagine a man who shows exceptional aptitude and the right attitude being promoted, regarded as an honorary woman and being allowed to join the cult of Vinga.
