I was thinking about malicious gifting also. In our game, our Orlanthi River Voices ended up with some iron (OK, some good-sized ingots of iron), and quite purposefully gave one of them to Solanthos just to hear his teeth grate together. Well, technically we gave it because we were the godparents of a new stream on the northern border of Sun County, but we knew we were outgifting him.
