You're emulating the "little gods" and "folk heroes" of your area. Leaving a bowl of milk out for the brownies is sacrifice, and then when you use your "Clean House" Feat, you're emulating these fairies. When you use your "Chop Down Beanstalk" Feat, you're emulating Jack's actions at the end of the myth Jack and the Beanstalk.

A talent is an inherent magical gift; a feat requires sacrifice and emulation. A "See in the Dark" talent might mean you have a Puma Person ancestor and you've got the mythic "gene" that lets you do that, it just works. A "See in the Dark" feat means that you have to offer some worship to, say, Owl-Woman and dedicate all the mice caught in your mousetraps to her, and act like her when you want to use this power.
