There are. In the East Isles there is Frenzypeace in which you attempt to get ever longer glimpses of the Absolute through unhealthy doses of unhealthy practices, and the Kambolic traditions, where the disciplines are called the Six Indulgences.

How successful these are as MYSTIC practices is another thing, but as Greg pointed out, considering how few mystics who actually succeed, who is to say that these are wrong? (IMO the most recent Vithelan mystic to reach liberation was Darja Danad).
