YGWV (and, in this case, given how explicit the old maps were, probably does), but Greg told me this was an error. His hand-written maps apparently say 'miles' where the old printed versions say 'kilometres', without any other adjustment of the scale bars, and he asked me to reverse that. I don't know to what extent, if any, this has been done with other books.
