Both MRQ and Glorantha Beastiary are nominally 2nd Age sources, since the Beastiary was compiled by Ocron Everseer, who was a Jrusteli Godlearner.

I did consider the change as being related to the ages, perhaps they got angry through Godlearner backlash, or are now seeking revenge for the Syndics Ban or something, but I prefer a more prosaic explanation - the scholars compiling the information just didn't get enough data or got it wrong.

No one should know much about Grotarons except Grotarons themselves.
