Zzzabur is an Atheist. He is not interested in any of that claptrap. His spells can/are just as powerful as any of those coming from so called deities - just self-aggrandised spirits really.  

In Book of Sartar I found the following revelations:  

1. Ernalda is Arachne Solar
2. Grandfather Mortal is hinted at being the 'Invisible God'

The second certainly puts some order in the monotheistic West vs Pantheistic 'East/middle'
