Also consider that the book isn't actually out yet, so folks will tend to comment on the little information they have - like the price. The sample PDF and page images helped counter this a bit, as do reviews by the lucky few to have seen the book already. My guess is that reviews and comments by genuinely independent third parties will put much of the cost issue to rest, if the book is anywhere near as good as it sounds.
