I think most Malkioni sects would reject this, even most Hrestoli. Such a claim would suggest not only that Joy trumps the Law, but that the Law has minimal value.

I'd agree with this. Trust in the Divine is something that a religion based in any of the big 3 Other Worlds would still require. The details on how that trust is maintained, and what is possible as a result of it, would vary greatly depending on whether a religion is theistic, animistic, or Sophistic, with further divisions based on the specific cult/practice/church.

I agree with Julian that trust in the divine doesn't necessarily mean certainty, but it can, and either way my trust may not be compatible with your trust.

In either case, I agree with hcarteau that one's connection to Malkion isn't quite as... personal as one's connection to, say, Orlanth. Moreso than theism or animism, I think Malkioni religions require a church and community for effective worship, not just fancy magic.
