Well, that is another point of contention between the Decamonists (who accept all 10 rune metals/mostali types) and Octomonists (who only accept the 8 original metals/types created before the Gods War (viewing things through the Quasi-Time prism)).  Of course, the Octomonists tend to be isolated/insulated from the Surface and the Surface races, so this will matter only to Mostali-based campaigns.
