I like the idea for the setting, which seems to be the plunder of the wrecked cities of the Middle Sea Empire. I'm not sure of the exact time period though. Is this after the Closing ?

I'm not so sure about the use of Anglish, which I think is a good idea to emphasize the conservative nature of these people, but may be difficult to pull off. I think it needs to be in comparison with other people who speak normal English, for example. I am presuming that you are going to game in English? Are there any equivalents to Anglish for another language that might be more natural. A more Latinate, or French version of English for example.

If you stick with Anglish, then I would recommend finding another word for Empire and Imperial, which both strike me as Un-Anglish.

I am also not sure I know what an "eerie checkout" might be, "newfound asideness" is a peculiar phrase, and I really don't know what "weightiness" refers to. It may be the intent to be obscure and strange, but I don't get the sense that this is an archaic version of a language.
