         A possibility is that the name Vestane is actually a backformation from a common name of the tribe and transformed into a supposed daughter of Vingkot.  As the identification with Vingkot grew stronger, alternative names died out. 

        Other tribes that might have had this treatment are the Orgovaltes, whose tribal founder is one Ulanin, the Infithtelli who were founded by Porscriptor the Cannibal and so forth.
