Comrades

We now have our own distinct stead project web page, to remove any guilt by association with Questlines.

http://home.iprimus.com.au/pipnjim/questlines/stead.html

The address is (for the time being) the same as before, but I will be giving it a more distinct folder address (and removing it from my main QL menus) before advertising it to the main lists.

The QL page now has a number of pages that include a collection of links (featuring ancient farms and beer as a cereal crop), the clangen background, the clan Ring, and our collection of resource tables. David Dunham has kindly given permission for me to use some graphics and screenshots from KODP to brighten up the page.

It's a hands-on site, and I will try and extract relevant information from the discussions. Jump up and down or wave if you have something you'd like included.

John

(BTW, my American Pie meanderings have taken me back through the Weavers and Woody Guthrie to the Wobblies and a song called 'Pie In The Sky (When You Die)'. I'm after some books on the McCarthy witchtrials, but it looks like some sort of web-essay *will* eventuate. :))

>From tulas harsh-stripped

streamed the strong called to battle, Spears each held ready, shield-clash they sought. Fyrd-fierce and fearless, from hearth called and harstings Fashioned they feasting for Humakt's dark-swans.

My kinsmen, my comrades, they budged not in battle Brought courage to combat, feat-strong and fierce. Like berries in harvest, bright red their bounty they made shame of armies, caused red moon to flee.
