From: "John & Christine Thompson" To: Subject: Chaosium Digest v33.12 Date: Saturday, May 19, 2001 10:41 PM Chaosium Digest Volume 33, Number 12 Date: Saturday, May 19, 2001 Number: 1 of 1 Editor's Note: Thanks go out to Thijs Krijger for reminding me of the proper format of the Digest header. It should now be in the proper format and show the correct volume and issue numbers. Thanks to everyone who has helped me get caught up after my hard drive died. Now, on to phase two. A big weakness of the Digest has been a lack of an official web archive of back issues. I want to eliminate this, but I need help. With 33 volumes of 12 issues each, that's 396 issues of the Digest that need to be collected and put into an easily web accessible format. So, here's what I need. I need to hear from you subscribers what format you'd like this archive to have. Do you want to have just the text files or would you prefer the issues in html format? Then I'll need volunteers to compile all the back issues and put them into whatever form is finally decided upon. I can't offer volunteers anything but my thanks but without your assistance this archive will not be possible. Those interested in volunteering and/or just responding with your preferences should do so within the next fourteen days. Lastly, we need to keep those submissions coming. As a reminder and for our new subscribers, all content of the Chaosium Digest is from subscriber submissions. Submissions should be kept under 50 KB if possible. Slightly larger submissions will be considered but run a higher risk of refusal. Anything over 100 KB will be automatically refused as it is incredibly difficult to work with something so large in the email format that the Digest uses. Submissions involving Chaosium published material (Call of Cthulhu, Nephilim and Stormbringer/Elric) will be eligible for the quarterly contest sponsored by Chaosium. The best submission wins a $40 Chaosium e-gift certificate. I also accept submissions involving Pagan Publishing's licensed products for Call of Cthulhu (including Delta Green and The Hills Rise Wild), Fantasy Flight's Cthulhu Live, Green Knight's Pendragon and Issaries Inc.'s Hero Wars Glorantha. Email submissions to gobackstage@prodigy.net and make sure to note that it's a Digest submission in the Subject line. Thanks for your support! ANNOUNCEMENTS * From Issaries Inc.
