You're welcome to your own opinion, of course, but Gods of Glorantha says the Basmoli of the Wastelands "hire themselves out as mercenaries, always glad to fight the folk who slew their god." If anything, the reverse is true -- in Pamaltela, they still wait for Basmol's return, unaware that he's dead.

Being dead doesn't necessarily prevent a god from having worshippers and granting them rune spells -- I think Thanatar is an example of an active dead god. Mostal is dead, too.

Again, feel free to vary from the printed sources. At least here you're on better ground: "Each tribe has characteristics of its animal kin," [PB:G.8] though this seems to be behavior, not physical characteristics. After all, the Telmori "know that other men may look the same as them" [DloD.119], in other words, Gloranthan werewolves usually have two eyebrows. It's possible that the Basmoli are different from other Hsunchen in this regard, but I've seen no evidence that they'd be any different from any others.
