Martin Crim didn't like it when I wrote:

so he replied with:

I don't think the orlanthi view their leaders as holy at all - they are no more than the best person around to lead them. They are not anointed as a sacred godking, like RW pharaohs, or babylonian or roman kings (during the principate). The chieftain does have some sacred functions, but these are all ritual as the chieftain takes the role of Orlanth in some of the yearly ceremonies. The point of the orlanthi chieftain is not to be this sacred godking, though, but the primus inter pares or best among equals. Of course, if people want to make chieftains some sort of divine leader, then so be it (in their Glorantha).

To Ville Kaikkonen I say: It's always nice to see a fellow finn (and you all thought i was Swede). Hakka paelle suomen poika.

And to Peter Metcalfe a short latin lesson: _Mea culpa_ is the correct expression (I hate to love doing this).

And I don't really have the inspiration to do a real posting this time. I'm severly hung over but a posting on Odayla is coming up.

Salvete (=good health to you all),

Michael Raaterova, the finn in swedish cloaking.
