Hmm, it strikes me that many of the clinical problems described in such loving
detail in recent posts can be solved by judicious use of that old Orlanthi
standby the Teleportation spell. Otherwise known as the knifeless Caesarean.
On the topic of fates after death, have a look at the description of the fate
of the soul in KING OF SARTAR. The soul after seven days joins a great flow of
souls moving down towards Daka Fal's court for judgement and assignment to the
Afterlife. I once had occasion to ask Greg what would happen to a soul that
refused to join the flow. (Perverse players I've got.) His opinion was that
- It wouldn't happen. There's a huge compulsion to join. But that
- If it did happen the soul would drift off on the Spirit Plane, defenceless
and friendless, gradually loosing cohesion until it got destroyed by something
bigger than itself or captured by a Shaman. (Which is why it is so important to
get yourself a good reliable deity!)
