Lots of Japanese don't eat meat instead they eat fish. I don't remember him saying a lot of Japenese are vegetarians. There is a big difference!
If you eat fish you are not a vegetarian. It's called something else. Though many people equate no meat with vegetarism. So if you're saying that CA don't eat meat than I can agree, if you're saying CA are Vegetarians then I don't. The reason for me disagreeing in the latter case is that it is very hard to be a vegetarian as the local flora must be able to support vegetarism and even if it does one must find out which plants are needed. As a test take your own local flora and try to make meals which has all the necessary ingridients. And remember to only use indigenous (sp?) plants ie no potatoes for Europe. This problem should not be underestimated as the lack of certain parts of the diet could be fatal. Examples Beri-Beri (in India) due to polished rice, rakahitis (sp?) due to lack of fruits on boats etc.

I would use
people > animals > fish > plants
and thus CA would eat the two latter ones prefering plants over fish. And only if _absoultely_ necessary for survival eat meat, as a CA is more worth than an animal. A true CA would probably do penance after eating meat though.

This agree with fully. They are not preachers of any true way.
