Chris Johnson defends his goats!

OK - OK! Sorry Chris. Your goats sound like truely wonderful critters.  The ones I knew (and was attacked by several times) must have been suffering from a terrible mineral imbalance and a generally poor upbringing.  (But then I imagine Orlanthi goats would, too!)

> I've had shoelaces untied, ears cleaned, fingers nibbled and

>The main faults goats have is independence, intelligence and curiosity.
>Lots of people find this distressing and thus dislike goats.

Are you sure you didn't have dogs in goat suits?:-)

Talking w/ Jeff Richard yesterday, he mentioned that among the Orlanthi dogs are considered "crofters animals", because they herd sheep, a low status animal. Thus the dog's work isn't valued. Funny thing - Donald McCaig said the same things in his book "Emminent Dogs and Dangerous Men - My Search for a Border Collie in Scotland". Border collies have been around for hundreds of years, but were ignored because they were owned by travelling shepherds.  Wealthy people owned "fancy dogs", like pointers and retrievers.
