For Gloranthan Hippos:-
- Dara Happa is not as cold as is should be due to the Ice breakers Cult.
- Gloranthan Hippos do not need to be as cold sensive as earth ones (this
is a game after all.
- Hippos run along the bottom rather than swim BECAUSE they are descended
from hippoi the horse who prefers to fly over running and prefers to run
instead of swimming.
- Hippos prefer not to come out into the Heat of Yelm as they turned their
backs on him when they sheltered in the water. Also they prefer to keep
close to their sheltering water. Yelm is not very happy about the way the
Hippos ran off to find shelter in the water (and left Hippoi to be beaten
up). Thus Dara Happan Yelmic nobles will shun Hippos and ride horses, but
the peasants are quite happy to make use of Hippos. Hippos while possessing
big teeth and great strength now prefer to avoid a fight, especially when
they are not in danger of harm. Thus the peasant children lead the hippos
around by a thong tied to an earring (sky rune).
Well who said Glorantha should be just like earth.
