Alex promotes me to the exulted few who have their names wordified:
>Subject: Matters Kralori and Nilsian.

Well, I guess it's better to become an adjective than a verb?

>Nils Weinander continues to tear his hair out, now no longer sure he
>knows the question to which he has the Greggly answer, "Yes".
>(Concerning which list of Kralori emperors is complete, and in what
>sense.)

Tearing my hair is bit difficult since I don't have a lot of it, and what I have left is less than 10 mm long.

>Well, if you're all _that_ worried about the One True Greg's opinion
>on the matter, go ask him.

I just might, some day when I feel that I have more time to devote to Kralorela.

>Personally I like Sandy's theory ("Lots of the buggers"); do you have
>lots of background work and/or emotional energy invested in the
>opposite premise? Or have you just had an attack of Completism?

I suffer from Completism in the terminal stage. However, I need to have a my own picture of Kralorela clear since the campaign I am about to start will include an excursion there. I wouldn't say that I have a lot of baground and emotion at stake, rather that it irks me somewhat to once again be uncertain about what to think.

Me:

Alex:
>Eventually you do (hopefully); but aren't people's souls busy
>reincarnating in the meantime?

OK, here comes Nils' take on Kralorelan afterlife beliefs: when a citizen of the Empire of Splendour expires her soul/spirit/whatever they would prefer to call it goes to Vithela. They are brought there by the Exarch of Spiritual Travel whose sole function is that of psychopomp. Upon arrival to the Blessed Shores they are taken to the House of Just Judgement. There the Exarch of Final Examination judges the worthiness of the soul. If you have been a good Kralorelan and done your given duties you are transferred to the Palace of Blissful Waiting where you mingle with the rest of the good dead in waiting for the death of the emperor.

If you fail the test, i.e. if you have been baaad, you are taken to the Prison of Forgetfulness where you remain until all memories of the previous life are gone. Then your soul is recycled through reincarnation into a new body. I think most people do pass the test.

The Devil:

More answers to relay to the original questioner. Thanks Alex.

Me:
> Duocanth (Sandy's kralorelan monster):
> Is it chaotic or does it just have the bad luck too look like it?

Alex:
>I don't think the Easterns are really very exercised by whether things
>are chaotic or not.

True. I asked just in case some non-Kralorelans would encounter one. And because the description sounded really weird.
