Hi all.

Here are some snippets from "Dragon Pass News", a periodic handout for my players:-)

Whitewall: Western knight tries to burn down Uleria temple! Sir Ranulf de Clairvaux, a knight from distant Seshnela is awaiting trial for arson in a Whitewall jail. Apparently, he was "on a Holy Mission, spreading the Word of the Invisible God". By accident, he entered the Uleria temple, where the chaste knight was outraged by the lewd suggestions from some of the young initiates. He returned later that night and used sorcery to set fire to the temple. The fire was quickly spotted and extinguished and the shouting knight was dragged off to jail.

Adari: Broo raid repelled! About two hundred broos, led by a huge, winged broo, launched a surprise night-time raid on the city. The fighting raged for hours and casualties were high on both sides, but in the end the broos were driven back by the brave city militia. The broo leader was slain by a lucky slingshot, fired by Coinneach Fingalach, a local farmer lad. As a reward for his bravery, Coinneach was initiated into the Orlanth cult the very next day.

Skyfall Lake: The trollball game between the local "Total War Team" and visiting "Crushing Crusher's Crushing Crushers" from Cliffhome was rudely interrupted when one of the giant referees accidentally stumbled and fell on the playing field, flattening eight players. The "Total War Team" was leading at 3-2 when the incident happened.

Boldhome: Lhankor Mhy Priestess Mairead ni Cairbre, who recently offered a large reward to anyone who brought her an intact dwarven "pistol", has disappeared without a trace. Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts should contact her sister Sorcha in the Boldhome Temple of Knowledge.

Runegate: Members of the Merchants Guild in Runegate have been forced to use the back entrance to their building for some days now. The reason for this is a large warrior dragonewt standing motionless in front of the main entrance, blocking it. A young Issaries initiate tried to persuade the dragonewt to move aside, but he was brutally cut down.

Alone: A large, glowing chunk of Moonrock recently smashed down in the middle of the nearby Dragonewt city. A Lhankor Mhy scholar estimates that more than a hundred dragonewts were slain by the impact. The local Lunar garrison was quickly sendt to the city to retrieve the Moonrock, but they were refused entrance. Negotiations have begun.

Wintertop: The Alchemists Guild of Wintertop are offering an amazing 100 lunars per hour for volunteers to test their new and exotic magic potions. The Guild has stressed that the job is not for the fainthearted,  and they will not take any responsibility for any strange things happening to the volunteers. So far, the 500 lunar bonus for being the first to volunteer has not been collected.

Wilms Church: The strange affair with the talking statues is solved. As you may recall, a statue of Issaries was heard to speak and utter opinions that suggested the High-Priest of Issaries was unworthy. This slight crisis was cleared up yesterday with the arrest of a young woman named Niamh ni Donnchaid, who it seems was behind the prank. However, Niamh fast-talked her guards and escaped the town, fleeing south.

Pavis: Famous entertainer and comedian Garak Ungol slain! The brilliant dwarf jester was barhopping in the Riverside area of Pavis when, blitzed on cheap bear, he stumbled into Rowdy Djoh Lo's, a tavern of ill repute. Garak was too befuddled to see straight, but started to tell a few of his wittiest dark troll jokes. Unfortunately for him, all the tavern-guests were Zorak Zorani berserkers...! His faithful companion, "Bones", the dancing skeleton. is being sold on the Pavis Fair in two weeks.

Boldhome: The Orlanth temple in Boldhome has accepted ist first newtling Wind Lord in more than 30 years, a batchelor newtling named Ssirak Hillclimber. Ssirak was born in Corflu, but has travelled all the way to Sartar to "join the Ssartarites in their noble sstruggle against the sstinking Lunar Empire", as he puts it.
