The only crossbow user in our campaigns was Myrdal Bighead, a Lhankor
Mhy who generally avoided combat by standing in the back winding his
heavy crossbow! Hw would get off about one shot a combat, but it gave
him an excuse not to be on the front lines! The, of course, in the
Griffin Mountain campaign, a dying Gondo Holst made his 10% DI roll,
called up Cacodemon (in those days, now he would be just a fiend). As
the monster appeared, the damaged and panicking party began to scatter,
and Myrdal fired his crossbow, critted the fiend in the head, end of
