I thought it was about time I delurked properly. Here is some background from my Aranwyth campaign. I am sorry but the only chaos mentioned gets are darn good thrashing

History of the Aranwyth

1335
Anlafi Horikson, while hunting in Prax, learned that a Bison clan was planning a raid which was to strike through Battle Valley and into the poorly defend steads in Forloss hills. He gathered the bloodline heads in the area and convinced them of the danger that they faced and that they could not stand against the barbarians as individuals. The bloodlines who lived nearest the border with Prax quickly nominate him as leader. The others refused to have him as leader, the Matriarch of the Erling said she did not trust him because his feet smelt sour. A dangerous split threatened to form so Analf asked if anyone knew of a more suitable person Two others where thrust forward by their friends, Ottar and Ormond. But still the people where split so Anlafi suggested that three clans should be formed. It was agreed and Clan rings where quickly chosen and territories marked.
Anlaf sent out hunters too track the barbarians and find out their route of march. Armed with this information he set up an ambush. A bunch of warriors showed themselves and then fled when the Bison riders charged. It was a trick and they were led into a bog. Before the nomads could pull themselves from the mud the Orlanthi charged from the hills. The battle might still have been lost where it not for the bravery and skill of Brognar a follower of Humakt and brother to the new clan chief Ormond . He cut his way trough the Storm Bull guard of the Bison Khan and struck him down. A feat made more wondrous by the fact that he had already lost his shield arm earlier in the battle. That is how Brognars Hill was named.

1340
Gudrun Dodgydeal tricked a horse breeder and took his magical stallion. The tribal lawspeakers denounced her practices. But she refused to abide by any judgements, and fled north with her surrporters. On their way she gathered much silver from breeding rights sold to the clans they met. They finally came to rest in the Forloss hills buying land from the Ottaring and Ormondi with the silver they brought. The scattered bloodlines which still lived in Toena vale and had not joined a clan quickly swore allegience to her when they saw the wealth she carried. That Sacred Time a new clan was formed and she called it the Brown Horse.

1423
Founding of a Tribe
A large band of Broos led by a Shaman of Thed setup home in some caves in the in the Six Sisters. The Champion of the Ormondi an initiate of Humakt named Aranwyth gathered the militia and attempted to track them down. But they were ambushed and only Orlanths aid saved them. In the following days the broos raided with impunity killing many. Aranwyth met the clan leaders of all four clans and persuaded them that only closer ties and a more permanent union could save them. The clan leaders said they would wait and talk more about the forming of a tribe, but they placed there warriors under his command. Two days of tracking and a short battle saw the destruction of the broo clan but also the death of Aranwyth. A grateful people formed the tribe based on his ideas and in 1424 they formed a tribal ring and they summoned a tribal Wyter. To everyones surprise 4 spirits turned up.

14--
The common people of the tribe supported Sartar against their own priests and leaders.

1461
While hunting in Battle Valley King Arandros camp was attacked by Telmori Werewolves most of the party, having been taken by surprise, fled. Advisi Thyrson a Weapon Thane of the Anlafi defended the king while he cast his magic, saving his life. A grateful king named him Sword of the Aranwyth. A year later the king had a sword forged and made Sword of the Aranwyth and honor title to be held by the Thyrson bloodline until on of them committed a dishonorable act.

Orlanth was given the weapon he used to take the corrupt Emperor from his throne.

The only good Lunar is the one on the end of your spear.
