     Greetings!

Just a quick couple of clacks on the topic . . . the kind of
person a character is *after* they are illuminated depends on the type
of person they were *prior to* illumination. In all cases, the
individual undergoes a radical personal experience, but it is not
clear that this means drastic changes in personal habits and
observances. (They *might*, but it is not clear they would *have*
     to.)

Why would a C.A. healer have to significantly modify his or her
     behavior?

Also, the idea of being cut off from the gods is overstated. A
better analogy might be that parts of the illuminate's soul are now
invisible to the gods like Dialecti's Upland Swamp is invisible to
dragonkind. If the person observes holy days and continues to
worship, there is no reason he or she should not be able to renew
     divine spells.

I grant that this might be a rarity, but let's not dismiss the
     possibility.

          In service,

          Rich Staats
