David Hall comments on LM letter-stuff with which i agree and then asks:

>Do you think that Harvar might have set up a new library (in ostentatious
>mock-Dara Happan style) in Alda-chur?

Definitely. It's too good an opportunity to show off his wealth, benevolence and erudition to miss. The library is built as an appendix to the Yelmalio temple and even has glass windows (heavily armour enchanted of course). The library was warded against Oakfed after someone tried to torch the scrolls. The Lankhor Mhy Sages has to pay expensive fees to gain access to the library, forcing a lot of them to become Yelmalio Initiates. The library also provides Letterers for those who want their contracts, wills and genealogies written down.

Together with some of the Alda Chur Temple Officionados Harvar has proclaimed that all the inhabitants of Alda Chur must be Written to insure their citizenship. The outrage this has created will propably escalate into bloodletting, fuelled by the ever-present Lunar/Tarsh/Orlanthi/Sartar conflict.

The Yelmalians have also proclaimed all Ulerians under suspicion of chaotic Witchcraft, since a strange document surfaced in the library, describing the secret nefarious rituals of Ulerians in gross detail, and connecting the cult with that of Thed and Gorgorma. The unidentified authors claim they witnessed these rituals in the Hollow. Peter the Telepath will probe my mind and say 'Aha! Malleus Maleficarum!' and he will be right, in a way.

I guess John can tell us more about Harvar's Library.
