Still never heard of it. What's more, I don't see why anyone should think the Red Moon will change color. The Red Moon was known during the GodsTime, and was Red then! The Seven Mothers quested to restore the 'Red Moon Goddess', not the 'Silver, but Slightly Tarnished Goddess'.

> The Broken Council Writeups do speak of the Scarlet Bat.

There are other references to the Bat from GodsTime legends, but somewhere along the line I got the impression that it was a translation thing. "....and then Storm Bull drove off the dreadfull Bat of 1000 Eyes, which had been...." A Lunar historian (and perhaps others) would translate this from Praxian (or whatever) into '..the dreadfull Crimson Bat...', the name being commonly & currently used. Sandy? Nick? Am I off-base on this?

Of course it's getting warmer! The Cult of Kalikos Ice-Breaker keeps beating off the Ice Demons at their yearly confrontations. When Argrath wiped them out (and their yearly re-inforcements), the Hollri went berserk, and most of Peloria got buried under eight feet of snow! (KoS)

As to brains getting cooked, this is a madness effect, similar to when someone summons a Lune on top of you. You want to parboil someone, you summon a salamander.

All Hail The RED Moon!

PS As to Harrek, I always pictured him as an ultra-powerfull pirate captain.

His followers follow him 'cause he's unstoppable. He would have good     knowledge of how to handle small bodies of men, but wouldn't be a general.     I.E. he could command four or five ships, or a regiment on land. In the     'hero' discussion a couple of months back Harrek was described as being     a pretty miserable example of a human being, but what can anyone do about     it? He even quarreled with his friend Argrath, and then beat him up &     sacked Boldhome. Some friend...

An earlier example of Harrek is Sir Ethilrist. SE became a hero not     to take up a cause, or for religeous ideals; he did it 'cause he wanted     the power & immortality heroic stature implies. That's why he hires out     as a mercenary....
