Lodril, as god of the common man, will pretty much accept any Craft as a qualification, at least in Peloria. In Caladraland, where he is viewed more as the Volcano King, this may not be the case, and any local societal restrictions you'd want to place on the cult are up to you. It's _your_ Caladraland campaign, after all. If you want Lodril to be widely worshiped, then make the Craft requirement pretty loose. If you want him to be more selective, make the Craft requirement tight.

Lodril is the closest thing to a God of Fire that Genertela has. Yelm, Yelmalio, and Dayzatar hardly fit the bill. Any kind of fire can house his allied spirit -- the traditional three types are the fire that warms (Mahome), the fire that labors (Gustbran), and the fire that burns (Oakfed). I imagine most Lodril priests are far from peripatetic, and a simple fire in their smithy, sacred bonfire, or cookstove is fine for their ally. No doubt the ally provides the advantage that the fire only needs to be fueled every holy day.
I think that it is not uncommon for a Lodril allied spirit to act as a smallish salamander in combat.
