For me the RuneQuest and the HarnMaster role playing system are equal in their complexity, although the HarnMaster system is more realistic. The decision which system to use should be based on the decision which world to use. HarnMaster fits HarnWorld and RuneQuest Glorantha.

I own everything ever published for Harn and nearly everything published for Glorantha, but I played only two times on Glorantha. It would be an interesting world if I only could understad what Greg Stafford tries to tell me about it. I agree with Mark that a lot of the material for Glorantha is very confusing, so I never sat down and studied it entirely. HarnWorld is much easier to understand and consistant. So I wouldn't say that either system is better, but that one of the world descriptions is better. You have to be aware that no AD&D Hack&Slay campaigns will be able with either system, but less with HarnMaster. HarnMaster is more realistic and low-fantasy-like than the RuneQuest system. I hope this helps a bit.
