Humakti and Healing

G'day

Here's a question for the Gloranthan ethics masters...

RE: The Humakti geas of _Accept no magical Healing at all_, (associated with the gift of _Do DOUBLE damage after penetrating armor_)

Is this a consequence of Humakts disasociation with the healing arts, or as a result of a Humakti's requirment NOT to shrink from death during combat? (or is it just a game mechanic?)

The distinction is, I believe, important as I'm trying to deceide wether a maimed Humakti warrior, injured in battle with a group of Zombies, should be allowed to be healed, and thus restore his fighting fittness.

If the proabition is on not avoiding death, I'd think that the geas should only apply during combat. After all, a season later, the maimed Humakti is no longer getting any closer to death (the injury has healed, albeit badly) though the warrior is no longer battle worthy (The player in mind had his sword arm mangled by a lucky strike). Perhaps the Humakti could be healed only on their High Holy day?

OTOH. If the proabition is due to Humakt's avoidance of all healing arts, then ther's probably no getting around it... The player is crippled for life.

Any suggestions?

On a related topic, Where are the Humakti Holy Sites in Prax, and where are the temples to Humakt, and what is their size?

Catch Ya.
  Paul.
