Did I forget to mention that Wasputi Meifan was a woman? Sure, the stories say "he" did this and "he" did that, but numerous stories and songs indicate, and surviving bas-reliefs prove, that Meifan was a woman, perhaps the source of the word "waleesha", who wore a false beard and male garments.

There are other stories that state that Kart Zavai was also a woman, but these are not as well attested. Certainly it is not unknown for waleeshas to take "wives" in Carmania. If they can support them then they can marry them. But it is unusual for a devotee of Maran Gor to marry so many or to adopt so many orphans, though not unknown. After all, the Taloness herself has provided shelter for hundreds or thousands of orphaned children.
