My theory on the boristi church is that they could not be a church which is
suffering under the influence of chaotic geases which is said by the other
churches of Ralios. It is a fact that they do tap chaotic beeings. But the
question is why they are doing this?
Every church know something about tapping. The church of Nomia (Galvosti)
said it is a legal matter to tap all non-malkioni. The Rokari and some other
churches said it is legal to tap being without intelligence (such as goats,
cows etc). To do both of this is very easy. If you have captured some
soldiers or warriors or refugees which are non malkioni (i.e. they could
believe in the henotheistic faith) it is very easy for a galvosti to tap
them. A Rokari could go to a slaughterhouse to tap all being which will be
slaughtered this very day. But why going after a chaotic being to tap it.
This is a very dangerous task. First you have to go into Vestmonstran to
find such beings, because they are not living in Borin, Sentanos or other
safelstran city states. It is very dangerous to catch this being to get your
hand on them to tap them. If you want to do something like this you have to
form up a expeditions group because nobody can do such a task alone.
After all this thoughts I have got the idea the boristi do this not only to
get power, no, they see in the tapping of chaos monsters a holy task. In my
theory they are inspired by Arkat to do this. In the time before Arkat came
to Ralios there a lot of agents of the bright empire runing around in ralios
to try to convert a much as possible people to the believe in Osentalka, the
bright one (see Broken Council). They have done such with much success.
Arkat has seen the truth behind this disbelieve into Gbaji. He has gone to
ralios to freed this land of the influence of the deceiver. By this task he
got the help from different groups of all faiths. One of these group where
the followers of Quantan van deen Borist. He was a holy monk of malkion
faith who got the same conclusion as Arkat. He sees his home country
destroyed be the believe in this false and chaotic being, call Nysalor. One
of his difficulties are that he could not see the chaotic side of the people
of Nysalor, because he did not know anything about the illumination of these
people. Arkat shows him the truth. After this they got allied. Quantan van
deen Borist froms up a group of elite fighter which got illuminanted. Before
this was done they have to swear, that they never believe in other gods then
into the Invisible god and his prophets (this is the reason why the boristi
never would believe into the existence of other gods, like the henotheistic
church - they also have by the reason only their own saints). After the
illumination they where be able to deteced all men of Gbaji and the tap them
and killed them. They have learned that all chaos cames from Gbaji and after
the destruction of Gbaji through Arkat the Troll they see chaos going around
in other forms in Vestmonstran. They do not believe that Arkat has destroyed
the devil - named Gbaji. They continued their fight against chaos. They
believe that one time Gbaji the Chaosmonster will come back to take revenge
on the region of Ralios and he will destroy everything on his way. After
Arkat has betrayed them (they said so because Arkat has promised to destroy
Gbaji and has not done this in their view) and formed up his stygian empire,
the new church of Boristi keep their secrets for their own. The are always
on alert, because the expect Gbaji will come back everytime. They made up
their own mysteries , their own rites and keept everything in secret.
In the time of the godlearners the conspired with them first. They helped
the godlearners in their fight of destroying the orlanthi pagans. Through
this the godlearners got to know some of the secrets of the Boristi. After
they tried to use this secrets for their own use, the boristi church got a
little bit confused. They betrayed the godlearners and formed up the secret
register of the boristi church. After this time only members of the truth
boristi faith, the people of the inner ring, got to know the secrets of the
boristi faith. By this reason the alliance between the godlearners and the
boristi broke down to nothing then fear of each other. The Boristi said that
they have detected the godlearners as being of gbajis corruption and so they
taped and killed everybody of the godlearner faith at the spot. By they
could not do this open, because the godlearners are much more subtle then
every other chaotic being. The build up groups of assasins which got the
holy task to kill the godlearners.
After the empire of the sea was broken the boristi hold on to wait of the
return of Gbaji, to confront him in a fight. They have their own elite
knights and elite assasins for this task. But only the peolpe of the secret
register of the Boristi church got to know this. The peasant which believe
in the Boristi faith have nothing to do with tapping. They only know that
the time will come in which the devil - Gbaji - will walk on earth again and
nobody apart of the Boristi knights will help them. They grow up in fear of
the devil. That is the reason why the peasant of some countrys in the
Safelster region hold on their faith in the boristi church. But they know
all the other churches see the Boristi as evil church so the keep their
faith in secret. Only in Borin you can say as a peasant you believe in the
boristi faith.
