There is the Sky Phoenix cult that was mentioned in the Broken Council Guidebook. As the Praxians (Sun Hawk) and Afadjanni (Fida'is - from ToTRM#11 Notes from Nochet) acknowlege the Sun as some sort of Avian Creature, it seems probable that the Caladrili acknowleged the Sun as a Phoenix. Perhaps the Phoenixes came down to bathe in the Volcanoes? I think the Phoenixes and Cult were exterminated by Arkat after they had been subsumed into Palangio's Solar Rites, pissing off the Volcano Priests in the process (they stayed away when Arkat landed).

The Esrolians may have been forced to send a few (a few? Lots!) sacrifical victims to the Caladrili to keep them happy before the Only Old One came. Nowadays I imagine there's a fanatical cult in Caladraland which tumbles people into the Volcanoes to 'bring the Phoenixes back'. The Caladra & Aurelion Cult is unable to do much as their rule is disintegrating after the Pharaoh's disappearance.

After Arkat, I think the Sun God in Esrolia was Ehilm (due to the increasing Western presense in Esrolia) but this was violently purged when the Zistorites were defeated. Since that, another Sun Cult was imported in from Arstola being more nature orientated and less martial.
