However, in the case of the lunars, although expansion may bring
strong monetary rewards, as you say it may also be because of strength in
religious power. Ultimately the same thing surely? Except in this case,
gaining worshippers is getting 'spiritual capital'....in a 'gross' sense,
getting more POW for your gods. People would not expand for religious
reasons if it did not bring strong substantive rewards. I recall a t
(not necessarily hard cash).
